every year i change my shoes
or once in a while
i change those soles
as they get old
when i drag myself
over time…
blistered feet
walking in rain and sun
i cry
at times i lament
yes! i complain
about life
to life
maybe i even curse life…
a few days
a few months
a few years
of life
make me like this??
the clock
rather, time
looks down at me…
just by the way it looks
i realize
how long
how far
time has travelled
and every single person
curses time
all through one’s life
and yet time moves on…
always,
ahead

the blisters on my feet remain
i walk
day and night

and move on…..

selling gods...

i met a man
selling gods
of various shapes
and sizes
and colours
each god had a different thing to say
and each had plenty of followers, too…
given the way i’ve been raised
not all appealed to me…
some i found nice
some saleable
some worthy
and some worthless!!
though i had no need for one
but then it’s true
supply creates its own demand…
so many people buying gods
false false and false…
the one who was selling gods
was unaffected
as a man selling
just another thing
any other thing
it was just about belief…
i could buy whichever
that i found suiting my criterias

i had to runaway…
from a place where people sell gods…

.
to somewhere…
i could sell myself to god!!!!

a world that sells...

every one’s got a price up their head…
some sell for gold,
some sell for more;
some sell their souls
for a piece of bread…
some sell their smiles,
and their smiles sell things…
some shed their clothes,
and show their skin!
some sell, ‘coz they get the price,
some sell. ‘coz that’s what they like;
and some sell, ‘coz they have no choice,
but every soul (that) there is, has got a price!
it’s a world that sells,
it’s a world that buys…
a world that’s buried under a billion lies!!
everything sells here- from a needle to god;
all that’s needed is a buyer’s nod!
it’s a world hungry for power,
thirsty for “more”…
to fulfill all desires,
it’s a world that sells!!!

when the sun sleeps…

when the sun sleeps,
the lover wakes…
lost in the eyes of the beloved…
or, if not near,
lost in the thoughts,
in a burning anticipation…
searching in the moon,
a ray of hope;
that soon the lovers would be one!

when the sun sleeps,
the lover sings…
songs of love…
a tale of longing!
all through the night…
till the stars keep shining…
the lover sings a rhyme…
taking the beloved beyond the boundaries of time…
and if far away;
separated by the wrath of land…
the lover sings,
in the hope of bridging the void…
that time and space curse upon the lovers’ hearts!!!

a game of hide and seek,
only begins the night…
slow and gentle,
tender and soft…
the lovers begin a play…
for the night is long,
and a moment in haste,
could kill their play away!
